Hey Social Fermenters, get ready to roll up your sleeves and get juicy! Our much-anticipated annual cider pressing event is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited to announce the details!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 9th, because we're heading back to a familiar and beloved spot: the home of our fantastic former member, Tim Simpkins! We don't get to see Tim nearly enough, so this is a wonderful opportunity to catch up, reminisce, and make some delicious cider together.
This event is a true club tradition, a highlight of our year where we transform crisp, fresh apples into gallons of potential! We'll be working together through the whole process:
Peeling: Getting those apples prepped for the press.
Crushing: Turning whole apples into a juicy pulp.
Pressing: Extracting every drop of that sweet, unfermented goodness!
It's a hands-on, fun-filled day that's perfect for both seasoned cider makers and those new to the craft. Plus, it's a fantastic way to connect with your fellow Social Fermenters and enjoy the beautiful autumn day.
Here's what you need to know to get your share of the bounty:
Bring a 5-gallon bucket (or two!): This is essential if you want to take home some freshly pressed apple cider for fermenting into hard cider, or just enjoying as sweet cider!
Date: Sunday, November 9th
Time: 11:00am
Location: Tim Simpkins' House (Address will be shared via email or our private group for privacy reasons – keep an eye on your inbox!)
We absolutely love this annual tradition, and we know you will too. It's a fantastic day of camaraderie, elbow grease, and the freshest cider you'll ever taste. Don't miss out on this club favorite!
Please RSVP by October 31st so Tim can get a headcount. You can respond to this email to let Tim know you're coming.
Get ready for an apple-solutely amazing day (and sorry for all the puns, I couldn't help myself)!
Cheers,
