Octoberfest Homebrew Showcase
It's officially October, which means it's time for some authentic German beer! We encourage every member to bring your best homebrewed German-style beer for a mini-Octoberfest celebration and tasting.
Whether you've perfected a crisp Märzen, brewed a delicate Hefeweizen, or crafted a robust Doppelbock, bring it along! This is a great chance to compare notes, enjoy the fruits of your labor, and toast to the world's greatest beer festival.
A Deep Dive into Distilling Techniques
Beyond the beer, we'll be venturing into the world of spirits! This month's educational session will focus on distilling techniques. We'll cover the basics, discuss equipment, and explore the principles behind turning your fermented wash into something a little... stronger. Mark will be taking us on a guided tour of distilling techniques, and we'll also be trying out some freshly distilled (very freshly distilled) whiskey!
This session is perfect for those curious about the next step after fermentation, or those who just want to learn more about the art and science of craft spirits.
